Dinah Musindarwezo is a gender equality expert from Rwanda whose past experience entirely focuses on promotion of gender equality and women’s rights.

Prior to joining FEMNET as the Executive Director, Dinah was working for Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), Rwanda, first as a Gender and Governance Advisor and second, as a gender Equality Specialist. Previously, Dinah has worked for Kigali City Council as a Project Manager of Agaseke Promotion Project; a project that aims to economically empower vulnerable women in Kigali City.

Dinah is a founder member of Rwanda Association of University Women (RAUW), an organization that is affiliated to International Federation of University Women (IFUW) whose mission is to support girls’ and womens’ education and support other projects that empower women. Currently, Dinah serves as a Convener on committees for both the Rwandan Association of University Women as a Vice President. Dinah is also a Founder and a board member of ‘Mentor A Girl’ (MAG), a new Rwandan founded organisation by young women professionals to support girls and young women attain their full potential.

Dinah is an alumni of the African Women Leadership Institute (AWLI), a program of Akina Mama wa Afrika, and she is also a Chevening Scholar.

Dinah holds a Master’s degree in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex, and a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Makerere University, Uganda. Promoting gender equality and women’s rights is both Dinah’s profession and passion.
